Why We Hate Ads

When you think about what an ad is trying to achieve, it should be a positive, worthwhile aspect of online life. Advertising should make it easier for people to shop and obtain products and services, which is what most people care about most. So why have ads been so bad, so delaying, and so reviled? The answer is simple, that as users we've all been annoyed by ads, desensitized to ads, and harassed by ads for far too long.

Ads are annoying:

Ads are annoying because there are currently no rules governing how ads are played to users across platforms. This fragmentation leads to a hodgepodge of ad styles at the worst possible moment, to banner ads routinely delivering false information to earn clicks, and to destructive visual impact purely to confuse mobile users experience, and countless other algorithmic strategies to manipulate visitor volume driven by targeted advertising interests.

Ads are so annoying that even though most companies need money to support their operations, they have to go ad-free (and thus have no advertising revenue) to prevent customers who spend at home from being ruined by too much advertising. Reduce consumption experience. When a company can start advertising without losing a large number of users, NP believes that the company has reached a point in time, that is, "tolerable annoying level", but unfortunately, most companies never reach this point point.
